PretonSaverTM became the first software product
in the world to receive an Eco-Label for Green IT, awarded for meeting strict
rules promoting environment conservation. The label was awarded to
PretonSaverTM by the "Hong Kong Green Label Scheme" a part of The
Global Ecolabelling Network (GEN).
To validate these savings, independent organisations of both private and public entities notably, Industry Analysts Inc. of US and TTA of South Korea, conducted validation tests to
analyse the difference in laser toner usage using the printer manufacturer's
print driver in default mode and then printing the same documents employing
PretonSaver as well.
The results of these tests proved compelling.
Testing proved that when employing the PretonSaverTM solution on a mixed content
document (with text, graphics, and image), savings of 68.8% were achieved, and
furthermore, at a savings level of 26.3% there was no noticeable reduction in
print quality.
